The wallpaper to the left is how we love to see him and is my way of letting the powers at HBO know that we all loved the way Bill looked here and we would love to see that look again!

girl you know how i feel. but how do we make it clear to hbo??? i've written them and try to speak up wherever i can. i don't understand what they are doing to their leading man. they are making eric look like mr. gq and bill looks like a suday school teacher with fangs. some people are saying it's so attention is shifted to eric, but i've nver seena show do that to a lead just to bring in another love interest. the problems started last season with hair and makeup and now it's spread to bill's closet too. i've never seen a lead treated so poorly. and it's not just styling, his character development is leaving much to be desired. bill is becoming boring and they didn't have to let that happen. what's up alan???
ReplyDeleteyes, i was wondering about the hair. And when the henley was going to make an appearance. But I guess it is true that they are trying to shift focus to Eric now. I think it all started with that awful haircut last season. I mean what happened to early season 1 hair. Why cant we get that cut back??? it was so good on him? And the makeup was not as heavy either. Yes, he does look radically different...but he is a beautiful and talented actor....
ReplyDeleteHBO--you should be ashamed of yourselves for what you are doing to the MAIN vampire on this show! His credits appear before Alex's and you wouldn't have the core of TB without him. The fans are not blind to what is going on and either your makeup people don't care or are following orders from up above. AB, you have said from the beginning that you love the Bill character and SO DO WE! You can bring Eric in as a love interest for Sookie without making Bill look like a clown. Eric's tan in the bed scene was almost as dark as Sookie's!! Is he not a vampire anymore?? Please fix this, we just want our delicious looking vampire back, is that too much to ask?
ReplyDeleteIt's criminal what they have done to Bill. Stephen being so beautiful makes it even more apparent. It is not nessacery to attempt to turn Bill into a wallflower to boost the appeal of another. We do not require vision aids to understand where the story is going. It is absurd to make Bill less visionally appealing to move the story along. Part of the vampire mystique is their unwavering beauty, the contrast of their physical beauty and their dark nature. It takes a concerted effort to lessen Stephen's appearance. It's too late for this season. What can we do? A petition or letter writing campaign?
ReplyDeleteWe all just want our season 1 Bill back! I can't believe HBO, or whoever, would purposely try to make Bill less appealing to build Eric up. If Eric is that unpopular then maybe you should do something about his looks and personality and leave Bill alone. We all started watching this show because Of Bill, so why do you want to take that away from us. He and Sookie are the show, as far as I'm concerned. Do the fans not matter anymore?

I cringed when I saw Eric lying next to Sookie and then laughed Eric was almost as dark as Sookie who worships the sun and is always tanned. Bill looks like a clown this season with all the white makeup that truly makes him look stupid. Stephen Moyer is a star and does not desevere to be treated this way. I have nothing against Alex but he is no Stephen. Alan Ball if you are listening: Please give us back the Bill we all love and want. The handsome sexy Bill of the first 3 episodes of season 1.

ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone else, I want my Vampire Bill from Season 1 back!!! Bill is gorgeous, sexy, charismatic and way too HOT to be treated this way. I have written to HBO but as long as they've got viewers still tuning in that's all that matters to them.

Stephen Moyer/Bill Compton is the number one reason I watch True Blood. I agree with everything said here == his hair and makeup this season is terrible. Please bring back our old Bill from the very beginning of Season 1 and fire the hair and makeup team immediately.

ReplyDeleteFrom the first episode from season 1,Stephen Moyer has stolen my heart. I must say that so far this season it's just not happening. It's not his fault, i haven't really enjoyed the story lines. Maryanne has all the screen time. Our poor Stephen has had to take a back seat. I desperately hope that the last 2 episodes will bring back the reason for watching Trueblood, STEPHEN!

ReplyDeleteI hope this is a sign of things to come on the show. His look at the end was especially yummylicious - black leather jacket, black henley, jeans. The hair was great, his face was pale but not white, and his eyes were OMGblue. I hate to be so shallow, but if he keeps looking like that I won't be able to see anything else that's going on.
i like the look of bill when he met sookie but the only time i really loved his look when bill was with bill's maker lorena in 1926 & in 1935.

In the first season Bill's look was more provoking, like a man from another time trying to find his place in the world. Now he's really metro...with weird black hair and BANGS! What is up with those bangs? He's still sexy as hell, but he doesn't look like the Bill who walked in to Merlotte's in that first episode and took my breath away!

There's NO excuse to make Bill look bad just to push another character's storyline forward. if there's a petition, open letter, whatever!!!!!!!, let us know, I would be the first one to sign it!!!!.

ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you i feel that it looks to obvious how the hair looks like is been dyed and he does look diffrent as well. i wish they try to make him look more natural. and i loved how 1st season was more focused on bill and sookie (awesome!!!) those Bangs and black hair... horrible!!!!! but maybe is because he's getting older and they feel like they have to make him look like that to hide his age.

ReplyDeleteLynn I need help from the Stephen Moyer fans. I really think that Stephen would be absolutely perfect for next seasons cast "Dancing with the Stars". He said he is a song and dance man by trade and we all loved it when he danced at the end of season 2 ep 12. Everyone help with this. Go to the ABC website and go to Dancing with the Stars page and do whatever you have to and get Stephen selected. Could you imagine this, Stephen every week dancing those awesome dances.

Just got into it on channel 4 (Uk) 2 weeks ago. Fell in love with the look of Bill in the pilot....have now seen all of season 1 & 2 as I am so hooked on true blood and the character Bill. Don't like the way Bill's look has changed...hair too dark and colour too white.....bring back the Bill from the pilot...so hot and steamy

ReplyDeleteAnyway, I love Bill, both seasons. I just didn't like his look in a few of the Dallas scenes - at the airport and glamouring the chauffer, stuck in the room with Lorena. But Bill in Episode One of Season Two was so handsome I couldn't stand it. If he can't go back to the untamed look from the first 3 episodes of season 1, then I would happily settle for that.
