The Vampire That Would Be King - Bill Compton Seasons 1 and 4

A friend gave me this idea to compare Season 1 Bill to Season 4 Bill. Now that Bill is King of Louisiana, not only the house, but Bill has been through a transformation. King Bill: Long May He Reign

Last week we found out that Bill Compton has a new role in True Blood Season 4. Unlike the books, Bill is now the King of Louisiana and since Alan Ball has “cleaned the slate” for Bill, there’s no end to what might happen to his our favorite vampire this year.

Personally, I am thrilled with this new role change and can’t wait to see what Bill encounters during the season. I still contend, however, that Bill loves Sookie and yet, I am up for any situation that the writers might put him into because I know Stephen Moyer is capable of meeting any and all challenges!

Because this is such an inspiring new plotline, I just couldn’t resist starting to make a new Season 4 wallpaper for our new King of Louisiana, Bill Compton. You can get a larger version of this wallpaper here or to see all my wallpapers, click here.

My very first True Blood wallpaper from Oct. 2008

Many have seen this wallpaper. It was the very first Bill Compton wallpaper I created in October 2008. This was when Season 1 was still playing here in the states for the very first time. Since I have never posted it here on this blog, I thought it might be fun to show it once again. This one shows the classic Bill look. An Oldie, but Goodie

I haven't posted many of my wallpapers on this blog, so, since we are all bereft of new Bill Compton photos, I thought I'd post an old one today. This is from Season 1, Episode 1, when we first met Bill as he is being drained by the Rattray's. Wow, what a great scene.

Bill Compton as Procurer for the King of Mississippi

Bill Compton, while working for the King of Mississippi renewed his role as "procurer" when he was sent into a Strip club to find dinner for the King and Lorena. I found this scene to be incredibly beautiful with the colors and the music, as chosen by Gary Calamar, True Blood's Music Supervisor.

The song playing during the scene was Paradise Circus by Massive Attack. Listen to the music in this video when you view my wallpaper and you will see what I mean about the music being perfect for the scene.

Two new wallpapers for True Blood Season 3

I've added two new wallpapers today for Season 3. One is about Bill's loss of his humanity and the other is the continuation of his torment while in captivity at the King of Mississippi's residence with Lorena. First Season 3 wallpaper - Bill's Torment

Season 3 is starting on Sunday and in celebration of that, here's the first real Season 3 wallpaper. Bill will truly be tested this season and he seems to be completely tormented, hence the title of this wallpaper. He sure looks good even though he may be suffering. Bite Me Bill Compton

In Episode 2 of Season 2, I loved it when Bill got Jessica's little sister to invite him in so he could glamour the family into forgetting they had seen Jessica. Bill & Lorena - the bleeds have begun

I remember this scene vividly during Episode 7 of Season 2 when Lorena was holding Bill captive so he couldn't go to Sookie. Evidently, as vampires get tired, they start to leak blood and Lorena started to bleed from her nose and Bill from his ear. The dynamic between these two is quite interesting. Its my opinion that Lorena is Bill's kidnapper, but we'll have to wait for Season 3 to find out if I'm right. Click here to view this wallpaper in a larger size. Bill Dreams and worries about Sookie

Season 2 may be over, but that doesn't mean I don't keep looking at episodes. I love episode 5 when Sookie goes downstairs to speak to Barry the bellboy and then returns to find Bill sleeping. When he wakes he expresses his fear by saying "I dreamt you were gone". Then, they have a lovely scene in bed talking. This wallpaper is inspired by Bill looking up at Sookie when he awakes. Bill Compton speaks the language of love

I have no idea yet what the dancing scene in Episode 12 will be about or why Sookie and Bill are dancing and having dinner together, but I like to hope that they have found some sort of happiness. It remains to be seen if this happens, or if we have what is expected, a love triangle or that we are left with a big cliff hanger. At any rate, since this week True Blood is on a hiatus and this photo was so lovely, I thought I'd make a wallpaper from it.

Bill Compton and The New World In My View

Last week's episode of True Blood, S1, Ep. 10 was a re-awakening of our Bill Compton. We were all worried about not only his looks in the series recently but his character and how he was being treated. One thing I was worried about was that he was a sacrificial lamb this season in favor of other cast members. However, Episode 10 showed us the Bill we Bill lovers wanted to see. Thanks, Alan Ball. When Bill Compton walked across the bridge to the Queen of Louisana's mansion, we were all treated to a gorgeous few seconds of bliss. To the left is my interpretation of that scene. The music, "New World in My View" also restored my faith that Alan Ball knows how to marry the visual with sound. Below is a video with that music.

Hallelujahs. Hallelujahs! I think we've got our Bill back!

Hallelujahs. Hallelujahs! Well, last night's episode, S2, E10, seems to have given us much of the Bill we loved in Season 1, so I am now bowing to HBO and Alan Ball's wisdom and am hopeful that our Bill will be himself through the rest of the season. No more pasty white makeup and he was so dashing at the end sauntering across that bridge in his leather jacket to the Queen of Louisiana. While I am reserving final judgment on this topic until I have seen the last two episodes, I want to say "Thank You", to Alan Ball and HBO for giving us our Bill back in this episode!

Bill Compton Season 1 - We want you back!

Many fans have been lamenting the demise of the look we had in Season 1 of our favorite vampire, Bill Compton. Where are his henleys and why so much pastey white makeup?

The wallpaper to the left is how we love to see him and is my way of letting the powers at HBO know that we all loved the way Bill looked here and we would love to see that look again!

Bill Compton seeks his humanity.

One of the important storylines in Season 2 has been the struggle Bill Compton has had with maintaining his humanity. We saw a bit of his history in Episode's 6 and 7 with Lorena, his maker. I would so like to know more about his past and what lead him to be fed up with the horrific life he had been leading with Lorena as a vampire and what was the catalyst that made him change. So, while thinking of that I decided to do a Bill wallpaper which I think illustrates this struggle somewhat.

I love this photo of Stephen Moyer as Bill Compton from Season 2 of True Blood. He looks really serious about seeing that Sookie is protected when they go to Dallas. I hope he can keep her so.
